Duties Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites Use hand tools and power tools to cut, strip, and connect wiring according to blueprints and schematics Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support project execution Conduct basic troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical faults in low voltage and high voltage systems Support the setup of low voltage systems including communication lines and control wiring Follow safety procedures in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure a secure working environment Help with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations and conduit routing Maintain organized records of work performed and assist with site cleanup to ensure a safe construction environment Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Experience working with low voltage systems or understanding of NEC standards is a plus Comfortable using testing equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics Strong interest in learning about high voltage systems and electrical code compliance Construction site experience demonstrating reliability and teamwork skills Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully while maintaining a positive attitude This paid apprenticeship is designed to equip you with essential skills for a successful career in electrical work.
