Obour Foods is a San Francisco-based maker of gourmet hummus, tahini, and toum. We sell at 18+ farmers markets across the Bay Area and operate a flagship retail location at the SF Ferry Building.
Many people say it’s the best hummus they’ve ever had—we’re inclined to agree.
We’re hiring a friendly, dependable market staff member to represent Obour Foods at the Clement Street Farmers Market. This is a long-term position (6+ months), not a seasonal gig.
Sundays at the Clement Street Farmers Market in San Francisco
Hours: 8:30am – 2:30pm
$20/hour starting wage
Free hummus every week
Generous trade policy — $60 worth of Obour product each shift to barter at the market
Unload and reload delivery van
Set up and break down 10'x10' tent, tables, and display
Sample and sell Obour products with enthusiasm
Educate customers about what makes our hummus and tahini special
Keep the booth clean, organized, and welcoming
You’re reliable and punctual — you show up early, not late
You’re comfortable talking to strangers and turning curiosity into sales
You’re physically able to lift 35 lbs and set up market gear on your own
You have a working smartphone to take credit card transactions (we use Square)
You can travel to and from the market reliably every week
The phrase “Take everything seriously, except for yourself” resonates with you
Previous farmers market or food sales experience is a bonus, but not required. We’ll train the right person if you bring great energy and people skills.
